The Memory Wall Story...

The idea for this exclusive way of displaying photos was founded over a family dinner one autumn night in 1999. The dilemma at hand was trying to find a way of displaying hundreds of collected family photos in an inexpensive and stylish manner. They had been sitting hidden in drawers and on the computer – memories that were out of sight and unfortunately out of mind.

Ideas, sketches and drawings were passed back and forth across the dinner table till sunrise. The preliminary model of these hand-made Memory Walls began in early 2000 – by 2001 customers were experiencing the true joy of displaying all of their much-loved pictures in an innovative and classy display.

Still to this day all MemoryWalls are hand made in our Sydney factory, with the strictest attention to detail and expert craftsmanship. MemoryWalls have now grown from displaying 300 photos to displaying over 70m2 photos in one continuous Memory Wall: that’s over 4550 pictures on display!

The Electronic Memory Wall

The Memory Wall team are currently in the prototype stages of the electronic MemoryWall which will revolutionise the way great photos are displayed. The Electronic MemoryWall is synchronised with your home computer or office computer as well as mobile device (phone) to receive and display photos automatically. Just imagine a feature wall of your home or office displaying an unlimited number of your most favourite photos in a vibrant array of effects – it will be coming very soon. The Memory Wall Table

This is a sleek dinning table and coffee table design addition where your favourite photos are on display through the glass or perspex table top. Easily interchangeable and always protected from food or drink spills – this is a great way to bring up great family and office stories over dinner or a cup of coffee. Pricing available very soon.

Installation of The Memory Wall:

The Memory Wall is designed to be secured to your wall unbelievably fast and with great ease.

There are two main ways the Memory Wall is attached to your Wall:

The use of Heavy Duty Industrial Grade Mirror Hangers:
These Heavy Duty Hangers are attached level to both the wall and the rear of The Memory Wall that interlock into one another once installed. These brackets are made from high quality aircraft grade aluminium and will not corrode or weaken over time. These hangers can be used on all surfaces, including solid and hollow walls and have a weight holding of over 134Kgs. The system is compatible with various fasteners, and can be adjusted left or right once installed.


	The Heavy Duty "Z" Brackets have an offset from the wall of 5.6mm.			The Heavy Duty Interlocking Brackets have an offset from the wall of 7.0mm and come with a handy level to assist during the installation process.

Pre-Drilling and Counter-Sinking Method
After specific information is gathered about the precise location of wall studs, The Memory Wall is pre-drilled/countersunk in accordance to the location of the internal wall frame. Then The Memory Wall is installed using heavy duty screws that are secured directly to your wall stud. If you have a solid wall, The Memory Wall will also be pre-drilled and installed using heavy duty screws.

Please note that a custom size Memory Wall is a service we regularly offer.

Note that the above sizes are approximates only as the width of moulding selected may cause the Memory Wall to be slightly larger – a exact Memory Wall size can issued once a moulding type is selected.
